The 2019 Ranger is offered in three trim levels; XL, XLT and Lariat. Each trim is available in two body styles, either an extended cab with a 6-foot bed, or a crew cab with a 5-foot bed. All configurations are equipped with a turbo 2.3L 4-cylinder Ecoboost engine paired with a 10-speed transmission. Two-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is available, including an optional electronic locking rear differential. The base XL trim provides a cost-effective entry point into Ford's mid-size pickup. Standard features include 16-inch steel wheels, rear view camera, cloth seats, automatic headlights, 4-speaker stereo system, 3.5-inch center screen and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. Stepping up to the XLT trim adds significantly more standard features, but only a few thousand more to the starting price. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, body-color bumpers and molding, fog lights, upgraded grille, 4.2-inch productivity screen, 4.2-inch center screen, keyless entry with tailgate lock and Ford's SYNC infotainment system. Additionally, Ford Co-Pilot360 comes standard, which includes blind spot monitoring, auto high-beam headlights, cross-traffic alert, trailer tow monitoring and lane keeping assist. The Lariat trim expands upon the standard features adding 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED taillights, power folding mirrors, intelligent access with push-button start, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and heated 8-way power leather front seats. The infotainment system is also upgraded with an 8-inch LCD touchscreen and Ford SYNC3, which is impressive technology and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, there are a couple of option packages that are available with all trim levels. The FX4 Off-Road Package includes a locking rear axle, skid plates, off road tires, and Trail Control, which provides a low-speed cruise control for off-road. A Chrome Appearance Package provides chrome exterior accents, while a Sport Appearance Package adds body colored accents. A Trailer Tow Package provides a Class IV hitch and 4-pin and 7-pin wiring harness. Safety features in the new Ranger are comprehensive, with standard forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. A suite of airbags, passive anti-theft system and daytime running lights are also standard. The XLT and Lariat trims feature Ford's Co-Pilot360 driver assist package, which includes blind spot monitoring, auto high-beam headlights, cross-traffic alert, trailer tow monitoring and lane keeping assist.
