The 2007 Toyota Camry Solara model lineup is extensive, with coupe and convertible body styles, and three separate trims: the SE, SE Sport, and SLE. The front-wheel-drive Solara is available with either a 2.4L 155-horsepower four-cylinder engine or a 3.3L 210-horsepower V6. The four-cylinder Solaras are available with either a five-speed manual transmission or a smooth-shifting five-speed automatic, while the V6 Solara models only offer the automatic. Convertibles are not available with the four-cylinder. The base SE is equipped with a number of features that often carry an extra cost on competitors, such as alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes, front fog lamps, a power front driver seat, an six-disc in-dash CD changer, and six air bags. The SE Sport trim adds a tuned suspension, larger alloy wheels, a body kit, HID headlights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Optitron gauges. The SLE features automatic transmission, a moonroof, leather seating, an alarm system, automatic climate control, a JBL audio system, and an electrochromic rearview mirror. In addition to many of the upgraded items that are optional on the SE and SE Sport, a terrific DVD-based navigation system can be added for $1,300 on the SLE. Enhanced safety courtesy of vehicle stability control and traction control costs an extra $650, and is available on SLE as well.
